Dear Parent/Carer,
Please find below a letter from our Chief Executive Officer Mr H Hegarty.
Below you will find our Term Dates for the next academic year.
Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust has high expectations for attendance and this includes the fair and consistent application of the ‘Leave of Absence in Term Time policy’. By adjusting the term time dates, the Trust is trying to work with parents and reduce the need to issue penalty notices where leave of absence in term time is taken, particularly in September. We would hope these term dates allow our families the flexibility to take a holiday. Please be advised, where there is a leave of absence taken in term time, this will be taken seriously and the matter forwarded to the relevant local authority, for consideration of the issue of fines.
We hope all students enjoyed their first week back at St Peter’s. Clubs are starting back for week two and we are thrilled to announce we are opening a breakfast club!!!! 🥖🍞☕
Research has shown a direct link between the breakfast habits of children and their educational attainment with children in primary schools where breakfast is provided achieving on average up to two months’ additional academic progress over the course of a year. We think it is crucial that our students start their day well so that they can focus in class and achieve their full potential. In partnership with the Department for Education, Family Action, Magic Breakfast and the National School Breakfast Programme, we are offering breakfast to every student every morning in our canteen.
What: A friendly place to eat breakfast, complete last minute homework and catch up with friends.
Where: Dining Hall
When: Every morning 7.45-8.20am
