How to appeal

If a parent wishes to appeal a decision not to offer their child a place at the school, to begin Year 7 in September 2026, they should write a letter for the attention of the Chair of Governors and ensure it is delivered, by hand or by post, to the school office. This letter should contain the name of the child, the home address, parent email address and parent telephone contact. The letter should also contain all of the reasons the parent wishes to put forward to explain why they feel their child should be offered a place. Any other relevant information can be included in the envelope with this letter.

Please note that, should we need to proceed to an independent appeal, the contents of this letter, and any associated documents, will be scanned electronically and forwarded to the independent clerks at Berry Education. The independent clerks will then distribute appeal packs to all parties in line with the timetable published above.
