A report has been submitted from one of our schools regarding the Coco: live streaming
application.
Reports of Contact, Content and Conduct Risks
Adult coercive grooming activity has taken place, with requests for explicit images from children.
Functions include live streaming, match with strangers, inappropriate images.

From downloading and exploring the type of activity contained within the app, here are the
threat assessment observations.
– Live One-2-One chat and match with strangers function
– Video uploading – Similar to Tik Tok
– Live streaming
– Direct message facility with image sharing capability
– Inappropriate and explicit adult conversations
– Racism
– Multiple live stream cameras
– Buying of virtual gifts and loot boxes
– Joining live streaming β€œparty” chat with over 40 participants
– Joining strangers rooms

This application is completely unsuitable for children and can potentially allow them to come
into contact with adult perpetrators and be victim of online child sexual abuse.

Can we make parents aware of this application and its un-suitability for children and young people.
