We operate a bus service for the pupils who attend St Peter’s Catholic College.

This service is largely subsidised by St Peter’s, but there is a nominal charge of £8.00 per pupil per week.

The bus, which is provided by Jack’s Coaches, picks pupils up at St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary and Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School at the following times:

Morning:
07:50 – Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School – school bus stop
08.00 – St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School – school bus stop
08:15 – Arrival at St Peters Catholic College

Afternoon:
14:40 – Depart St Peter’s Catholic College
14:50 – Corpus Christi Catholic College – school bus stop
14:55 – St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School – school bus stop

How to pay?

A deposit of £8.00 is required to secure your child’s place on the bus from September. This should be paid in cash to the school office and is deductible from the first payment of fees.

You will receive a letter from our finance department after your child starts school. It will contain log-in details for your child’s ParentPay account. You must activate your ParentPay account, using these details, in order to make payments each term.

We require that payment for the school bus is made ‘half-termly’ in advance. A payment schedule is shown below but will also be available for your reference, throughout the year, in the description section, on the school bus payment item, on ParentPay.

Payment schedule:

Transition evening or soon after – £8
9th September ‘22 – £47
4th November ‘22- £56
6th January ‘23 – £53
3rd March ‘23- £40
21st April ’23 – £45
9th June ‘23 – £54

What if you miss a payment?

If a payment is not received by the due date, the finance department will contact you and request that you make payment within the next 48 hours. If payment is still not made, the bus service will be withdrawn until you credit your account.

Transport Benefit

You may be entitled to help with transport costs. Middlesbrough Council provide help to some families with home-to-school costs. The benefit is not purely income based but considers several factors, including distance from home and choice of school on your original application.

Behaviour on the bus

A safe and comfortable journey for pupils and staff, on the school bus, is of paramount importance to St Peters.

You will receive a ‘School Bus Behaviour Policy’, which sets out the standard of behaviour expected on the bus. Please read through it with your child, sign and return to school.

Acceptance of the rules is a condition of using the school bus.

We look forward to welcoming your child to St Peter’s..
